To earn the Lion rank badge, a child must complete the five required adventures with their den or family. There are also seven elective adventures which they can complete, if they wish. As the child completes each adventure they receive an adventure loop, which they can wear on their belt.

Bobcat

Bobcat

When a child joins Cub Scouting, they must earn their Bobcat rank before they can advance to the rank of Tiger, Wolf, Bear, or Webelos. This is usually completed in the initial den meetings, and then a special ceremony at our first pack meeting to award this rank.

A child must complete the Bobcat requirements, which include:

- Learn and say the Cub Scouts motto, the Cub Scouts Promise, and the Scouts BSA Law and Oath; as well as,

- Show the Cub Scout sign, salute, and handshake and tell what they mean; and

- Show that you understand and believe that it is important to be honest and trustworthy.
